8. Using Technology to Help Math
My
first practicum is coming up and I have been searching for different programs
to help me teach math. In my search I stumbled upon http://www.educational-software-directory.net/math. This site is amazing! It provides
the teacher and the student an opportunity to explore mathematical problems
together or independently. And almost every sub-subject within the curriculum
has a program or game designed around the material.
Reflection
· Students love technology. Anything
involved with a computer and children jumps at the idea.
· Technology is another way to help
students connect to the material and connect to the visual learns and the
students that have to do an activity to remember it.
Reflection on Reflection
· Might as well embrace technology as soon
as possible because the use in the classroom is only going to go up in coming
years. Soon Smart Boards will be in every classroom and students will have the
opportunity to interact with the software on a daily bases.
