14. Illustrating Objects

      If you are given the front, top and side view of an item then you should be able to construct said item. In math class you construct the item on grid or dot paper. (Mathematical terms, Isometric Drawings).
Reflection
·       Linking cubes can represent an isometric drawing.
·       When the students started working with the linking cubes time flew by, they didn’t even know they were learning (I tricked them, ha).
Reflection of Reflection
·       Students can build the images they see in the text book but are having trouble starting with an already built object and drawing the image on the paper.
·       Today I have reached a crossroad of manipulates. I enjoy them and I know the students do also but they are having a problem bridging the gap back to applying mathematical terms and drawings.
·       We will have to revisit Illustrating Objects again.
