14. Illustrating Objects
If you are given the front, top and side
view of an item then you should be able to construct said item. In math class
you construct the item on grid or dot paper. (Mathematical terms, Isometric
Drawings).
Reflection
·
Linking cubes can
represent an isometric drawing.
·
When the students
started working with the linking cubes time flew by, they didn’t even know they
were learning (I tricked them, ha).
Reflection
of Reflection
·
Students can
build the images they see in the text book but are having trouble starting with
an already built object and drawing the image on the paper.
·
Today I have
reached a crossroad of manipulates. I enjoy them and I know the students do
also but they are having a problem bridging the gap back to applying
mathematical terms and drawings.
·
We will have to
revisit Illustrating Objects again.
